To the Fishermen's Beach, The Green and the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Light Railway (RH&D) Station, returning via the Royal Military Canal to the High Street and Oaklands. Details : This walk or, if you prefer, stroll!, passes many of the Frontline Hythe and Royal Military Canal Heritage Information Panels. Leaving Oaklands, turn right along the Canal and after the Bowling Club turn right into Ladies Walk. At the end, cross South Road and then up a short gradient to Marine Parade. Turn right and proceed along West Parade to Fishermen's Beach. At the end of the promenade turn right, back towards the town. Make for Cinque Ports Avenue (see map overleaf) and then left across The Green, to Boundary Road. Right, down Frampton Road, to the Dymchurch road. Cross at traffic lights to the RH&D Light Railway Station. You can pause for refreshment at the station cafe before returning along the Canal. Cross the Canal and road (left) at Red Lion Square. Proceed along the High Street to the Town Hall. Turn right into Marine Walk Street to reach the Pelican crossing on New Prospect Road to return over the Ladies Walk bridge to Oaklands.
