Hythe Taekwondo club has been running for nearly 3 years now
and takes place every Tuesday evening at the Father Daly Hall, the Catholic
Church hall behind The Bell public house.
Juniors (children between 6 and 12 years of
age) sessions start at 6.45pm and run until 8pm. Senior classes (anyone older
but no maximum age) run from 8pm to 10pm.
Taekwondo is a Korean martial art (similar
in many ways to karate) and is an official Olympic
sport.
Its
practice promotes health, flexibility and self-control as well as being
fun.
Hythe
taekwondo club prides itself on a friendly
atmosphere.
All
classes are taught by qualified black belt instructors who are registered at
Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Federation headquarters in Seoul,
Korea.
We are
fully insured and conduct regular gradings.
Why not try something different for a
change, come along and join in.
No charge is made for the first session and a nominal fee
sufficient to cover insurance expenses and hall hire is payable after
that.
No special
clothing is necessary at first although it is recommended that loose clothing
(tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt are ideal) are
worn.
