Hythe Civic Society staged an Exhibition of the work of two iconic local photograhpers in the Town Library during July.

The Exhibition has now been taken down, but because of the great  interest shown in the pictures, we hope to restage some at the
Christmas Open evening on 12th December.

Jack Adams and John Davies were members of Hythe Civic Society and captured memorable pictures of life in the town during the 1950's up to the 1970's. Jack had a commercial photographic studio. John had a retail business and a photographic studio in the town. The Civic Society is staging an exhibition of some of their work and the equipment they used in the Town Library during July.
The exhibition was opened by the Town Mayor, Councillor Matthews, on Friday, 30th June, 2006.
Below are some pictures that record the event.
